Richard Norris, Label Love and Favela London are super proud to present a PIAS Fire benefit come Wednesday 5th October.
On the evening of Monday 9th August, the main warehouse of the PIAS distribution group was destroyed in a blaze in Enfield. The warehouse contained a large amount of stock from the UK’s main independent music labels. The stock was insured, but the fire has left a massive mark on hundreds of indie labels, whose economic position was pretty tricky already.
AIM (the Association of Independent Music) has put together a fund to help affected labels keep afloat, and benefits for labels are being held nationwide, all being organised by the folk at Label Love.
Musician and producer Richard Norris has organised a benefit at our Favela, featuring a fine line up of London based DJ talent.
“Everyone on the bill has been affected by this one way or another”, says Richard. “This is a chance to put a little back into the independent music community that we are all part of. And also to have a cracking night.”
